Frequently Asked Questions

How is my recommended solar system size calculated?+

We divide your monthly electricity units (bill ÷ tariff rate) by Pakistan's average peak sun hours for your city. This gives the kW of solar panels needed to cover your usage — following NEPRA net-metering methodology.

What is the difference between On-Grid and Hybrid solar?+

On-Grid (cheaper) connects to your DISCO grid and exports surplus power via net metering, but shuts off during load-shedding for safety. Hybrid includes battery storage so your home stays powered 24/7 even during load-shedding.

What is Net Metering in Pakistan?+

Net metering lets you export excess solar power back to the grid during the day. Your DISCO credits those units against what you consume at night. This is how solar can cover ~85% of your electricity bill.

How accurate is this solar calculation?+

This calculation is based on current 2026 Pakistani market benchmarks (Rs 130k/kW on-grid, Rs 195k/kW hybrid, Rs 65/unit average tariff). Actual vendor quotes may vary slightly based on panel tier, inverter brand, and mounting structure.

Can I finance this system through bank solar loans (SBP / Meezan)?+

Yes! Major commercial banks (Meezan, HBL, Bank Alfalah) offer Islamic solar financing packages for systems calculated here, covering up to 80-85% of total cost on 3 to 5 year easy monthly installments.
